Get out and about to experience what you can see from the hotel. Experience something different every day.
Firstly experience nature an get walking. The hotel is a great starting point for many walks along the Cornish Coastal Path including our food foraging walks with a local expert.
Just a short drive from Bedruthan are the eleven golden beaches in and around Newquay. Newquay is also home to a a whole host of things to see and do including restaurants, shops, a boating lake, Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium - ideal for when the Cornish weather disappoints! North along the coast is the famous harbour town of Padstow which is full of colour and life with great places to eat and drink.
Continue up the Cornwall coastline, north of the hotel to find Bedruthan Steps which legend imaginatively states are the stepping stones of an ancient giant. Travelling further north, you will discover Trevose Head, home of the prestigious golf course boasting views as far as St Ives on a clear day. There is also the fantastic surfing beach of Constantine and traditional Cornish pubs at St Merryn. Get active and hire a bike from Wadebridge and take a ride up the River Camel towards Bodmin or Padstow for some beautiful sights and wildlife spotting.
Travel further down the north coast of Cornwall to experience the long beach at Perranporth, the mining town of St Agnes, Godrevy lighthouse and an artists' favourite - St Ives. By foot or by car, this coastline has a great mix of natural and man made attractions suitable for the whole family.
Further afield, you can discover the Eden Project and many Cornish gardens where you can see everything from bananas growing to wild woodland. The south coast of Cornwall is home to traditional fishing villages such as Fowey, Porthleven, Charlestown and Looe. Then down south you can lap up the beauty of the amazing white sands at Porthcurno, also home to the famous open air Minack Theatre and Telegraph Museum.
Why not leave your car behind and try going by bus? Western Greyhound buses pass the hotel everyday and are a great way to see Cornwall. Stress free, saves on fuel and reduces C02 emissions too. Its direct to Padstow or Newquay direct but you will need to change to go further afield.
